Yara Peaberry is sourced from family owned farms near the Mukurwe Factory in Kiambu County, Kenya. The factory is managed by the New Gatanga Farmers Co-operative Society. Yara Peaberry is a unique bean, as peaberry coffees are a cherry mutation on the coffee plant. Only one bean grows in the cherry as opposed to two, yieldign more vivid flavors in the coffee.
The coffee is grown in volcanic loam at 2,200 masl, it is then fully washed and dried in raised beds.
