Our Crown Reserve coffees are unique for many reasons. Many of these coffees come from micro lots: farms with smaller lots for farming or farmed with many other types of coffees. Reserve coffees yield smaller batches, which means their flavors tend to change more dramatically year after year. This means the crop might be of low quality one year and higher quality the next. These coffees may also reflect other unique qualities depending on the farmers decision to use a particular process or cultivation method for that region. These rare practices have a major and unpredictable impact on the coffee, making for unique and interesting flavors!
